State Rep. lawmaker Susan DeLemus has gone viral for a meltdown caught on camera.
As tensions flair in the US over a persons right to body autonomy, Susan DeLemus was filmed screaming at abortion rights protestors outside the New Hampshire House on Thursday (5 May).
The incident occurred as protests erupted across the country following a leaked Supreme Court draft majority opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that gave people the right to access abortions.
“Shame on all of you. Shame on you, killing babies,” DeLemus screamed in the video shared by Colin Booth, legislative communications director for the New Hampshire Democratic Party.
Then shouting, “You’re a murderer! You’re a murderer” at protestors, adding, “I’m a murderer! I murdered my own baby!”
Nothing quite like the tact and grace of an @NHGOP State Rep on the steps of the people’s house. Say hello to @SusanDeLemus engaging peaceful protestors this morning. #NHPolitics pic.twitter.com/dtEW7o6dsL

DeLemus had an abortion years ago and has since made her regret about that decision critical to her politics, in 2012 telling a Senate committee “I murdered my baby.”
She also spoke on the abortion earlier in 2022 while advocating for legislation that would give a biological father the right try to block an abortion in court.
DeLemus has since defended her viral outburst while speaking to a local newspaper:
“Just because it’s legal, abortion doesn’t mean that I did not kill another human being, and that’s my stance,” DeLemus said. “That was what the yelling was about. I raised my voice and tried to be loud to be heard by the chanting crowd.”
“Anyone who’s had an abortion, or anyone who supports abortion in my eyes, is a murderer or is pro abortion, pro death, pro ending the life of a baby,” she said.
Meanwhile Rep. Chuck Grassie called her outburst ‘an embarrassment’.
“It’s an embarrassment to Rochester,” Grassie told the Daily Democrat. “She has no concern about the decorum and how a state representative should act.”
US President Joe Biden warned this week that the repeal of Roe v. Wade would call other American freedoms into question’ and ‘that LGBTQ+ young people would be next on the MAGA hitlist’.
A final decision on the case is expected in late June or early July.
