Republican state senator Adrian Dickey is no doubt having a stressful day
Tiktoker Korynn Dickey shared a video to the platform in recent days, captioned:
“I had to cut my dad off,” said in text overlay.
“See, I’m a bisexual Pisces and he is a republican state senator who contributed to taking my rights as a woman away and the possibility of me being able to marry the girl of my dreams one day.”

Users were quick to identify the Dad, who has the same surname, as Republican Iowa state senator Adrian Dickey.
The TikToker, in a later video, went on to say that her father was one of the Republicans urging the Supreme Court to overturn abortion rights in the US.
“Yes my dad didn’t vote on roe v wade but he did support this! That’s enough for me to finally cut him off and no longer claim him as a parent,” she wrote with the video.
In a separate video, she claimed he was among the GOP politicians who are against trans rights and anti trans inclusion in sports.
Dickey’s, whose supporters include Facebook groups like Fairfield Iowa Trump Supporters, has, at the time of writing, not offered public comment on the take-down video, but Korynn told the Daily Dot she came out as bisexual to her dad as bills were passing through legislature that she “wasn’t OK with” – and said he essentially dismissed her.
She said her relationship with her father caused her to develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and said he was abusive while she was growing up – as a result, she refused to speak to her father throughout some of her teen years
“When he was elected I was told to keep my mouth shut. I did because at the end of the day, I really hoped he had changed,” she told the publication. “When the Roe v. Wade came to light, I voiced my concerns and he silenced them.”
“There’s so much more money and power-driven things he has done. I will likely make more TikToks on them.”
Korynn stopped short of offering confirmation to the Daily Dot whether her dad was, in fact, state senator Adrian Dickey, but Facebook photos of the two of them attending a candidacy announcement seem to indicate it to be the case.
