Co-host on The View and veteran presenter/comedian Joy Behar was forced to apologise this week for misgendering Caitlyn Jenner during a segment on the reality star running for governor of California. 

Repeatedly referring to Jenner as ‘he’ six years after her transition stuck out like a sore thumb and although she wasn’t corrected by her co-hosts, she had to apologise at the end of the news story. 

At the end of the day , Joy is 78 and a huge friend of the LGBTQ+ community so attacking her for making a mistake seems a bit off. She clearly wasn’t being malicious so we need to have a bit of compassion rather than slating someone straight away when they make a mistake. She apologised, end of.
