The Russell T Davies drama, which centres on a group of friends in 1980s London amidst the HIV/ AIDS epidemic, has been the most talked about TV drama of 2021 so far and has now surpassed 6.5 million views on All4 in the UK. This makes it the broadcasters biggest ever instant box set.

All 4’s chief content officer Ian Katz said: “The extraordinary performance of It’s A Sin is a reminder that powerful drama with something important to say about the world can also be commercially successful.”

It’s A Sin also wins the crown of All4’s “third biggest series to date” and had their “biggest drama launch on record”, according to the broadcaster.
