(Trailer spoilers ahead)
Too many siblings. Not enough timeline. The Umbrella Academy season 3 is coming.
Fresh of the back of the second season cliffhanger, the Hargreeves family are transported from the 1960s, where they managed to avoid doomsday, to an alternate 2019 with new siblings, superpowers and a whole new Academy.
Oh and the return of dead brother, Ben (Justin H Min), who was killed in the original timeline, now with new powers and strength.
‘When we jumped here, we created a time paradox,’ Five, played by Aiden Gallagher, explains. ‘Our little paradox brought forth the freaking Kugelblitz’.
‘What the hell is the Kugelblitz?’ Victor, played by Elliot Page asks, with Five replying: ‘Essentially, we’re screwed’.
Season 3 sees Elliot Page introduce viewers to Victor Hargreeves, who will mirror Page’s own life experiences by coming out as a trans.
Vanya also seems to make an appearance later on in the trailer:
‘Your team’s good, but I don’t think you’re better than me. I ended the world twice. And you? You’re just meat and spandex’.
PLUS *added bombshell* beloved character Pogo, killed in season one, is still alive!
We. Cannot. Wait. For. This.
The Umbrella Academy seasons 1-2 are now streaming on Netflix and season 3 of The premieres June 22.
