‘Strictly Come Dancing’ UK: John Whaite and Johannes Radebe make show history with first all-male pairing

They ate it up.

Last night (25 September) saw the debut performance from John Whaite and Johannes Radebe on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK, which scored them a standing ovation from judges, in the first all-male partnership in Strictly UK history.

Dancing the Tango to New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’, the pair were awarded 30 points and bagged the second highest-scoring performance of the evening.

Taking to Insta story following the emotional performance, Whaite was showing the love for his dancing partner, Radebe, saying: “I don’t know if it’s the slight hangover, but I’m crying reading all your lovely messages”.

“But mostly I’m so proud of @JohannesRadebe. His courage to be unapologetically himself will inspire so many – he has certainly already inspired me.”

Meanwhile, over stateside, JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson just made history for Dancing with the Stars USA, by being the US shows first same-sex pair.

Hurray for progress!! Check out the video of John and Johannes on Strictly below:
