Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson has been cast as one of the leads in the upcoming Interview With The Vampires series alongside actor Sam Reid.
As we all know vampire sexuality is somewhat fluid and the roles of Louis de Pointe du Lac (played originally by Brad Pitt) and Lestat de Lioncourt (portrayed by Tom Cruise in the 90’s movie) are expected to explore this a lot more in the series.
Whether we’re going to see Anderson (in the Brad Pitt role) or Reid (as Lestat) get it AWN is another matter. It’s certainly implied in the book as they also become pseudo vampire co-parents to Claudia, a young vamp made famous by a a young Kirsten Dunst in a truly awesome star turn.
Either way, the books are dripping with gothic romance and so much was left out in the hit 1994 movie we are psyched for this re-telling. In the meantime the film is still worth a watch while we wait for the series, even if just for Brad Pitt who’s pale long-haired gorgeousness makes good company for a couple of hours.
