Laurence Chaney and Gok Wan to host this year’s star-studded British LGBT Awards

The British LGBT Awards are a who’s who of the queer community and their allies and this year the ceremony is back in full force with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 winner Laurence Chaney and legend Gok Wan co-presenting.

In association with Natwest and Tesco, the awards recognise celebrities, activists and allies who have strived to advance visibility, inclusion and LGBT+ rights over the last year. The night is promising to be one to remember with an incredible line up or stars competing for awards including musician Sam Smith, Jodie Comer, Michelle Visage, Cara Delevingne, Demi Lovato and the editor of British Vogue, Edward Enninful.

Gok Wan said of the awards, which take place in London August 27th: “This is going to be the biggest celebration of the LGBT+ community since before last year’s lockdown and so it’s going to be very special. It is such an important event, shining a light on the role models and those who are advancing the rights of LGBT+ people not only in Britain, but across the world. I’m honoured to be part of it.”
