‘It’s a no from me’: Courtney Act says they would not return to Drag Race and drops some sickening shade

Courtney Act rules out Drag Race return?

In life, few things are certain: births, deaths, Cher will never age, and the Drag Race empire will continue to grow faster than Ru Paul’s wig collection.

Another thing we’ve been given some certainty on of late (and we can’t say we’re happy about it), is that fabulous Courtney Act will NOT be making a return to Drag Race any time soon.

With All Stars and spin-offs like vs The World, the Drag Race sister shows are now as popular, if not more, than the main series. Getting to see our favourite queens from former seasons back on our screens – more assured, sassier, and certainly a bit richer – is a truly delicious experience for any die-hard Drag Race fan.

Courtney slays the runway

Courtney Act is no stranger to the reality game, first popping up as a contestant on Season 1 of Australian Idol, then making her Drag Race debut on Season 6 of the main US strand, the Aussie diva was also crowned winner of Season 21 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, AND (deep breath) the runner-up of Dancing with The Stars Australia.

It’s a resume most drag artists (most famous people) would kill for, but the queen has seemingly shut down any hopes of a return to the Drag Race franchise in the near future.

Appearing on Virgin Radio Pride‘s Weekend Drag Breakfast show, Act said of her stint in the werkroom: “You know what, I loved doing Drag Race, it was so much fun and I made friends for life and I loved filming it”

“As much as I would love to do All Stars, I just wouldn’t do it because, well firstly I’ve never been asked and I just feel like my career has – I just love what I do now, I feel so confident and comfortable with what I do now – and to go back on Drag Race feels like giving over the power to someone to interpret your story and words as they like”, she continued.

Referencing her reality resume, while speaking to host Stephen Sullivan, she continued:

“I’ve been on a lot of competition shows, where you are always doing that – giving over the power. I was very nervous to do Celebrity Big Brother because of my experience on Drag Race”

“Going on All Stars – I mean have you seen that show?! The dresses, the looks, the amount of money involved, the amount of time prep! I mean it would be really fun but it’s a no from me”, Act then ruvealed.

Courtney had a lot more to say during her time in the Virgin Radio Pride studio, dropping some epic shade which had us, listening at home, GAGGED.

The incredibly famous Australian Drag Queen said:

“There is a Drag Race Down Under – looking for ‘Australia’s first drag superstar’ were Ru Paul’s words. I mean….!”
