UPDATE: The BBC have now REMOVED Cade’s contributions to the article in question. Young staffers at the corporation have also made their feelings known to senior journalists who tend to be more gender critical.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A porn star that was quoted in the controversial BBC article about lesbians allegedly being ‘pressured into sex with trans women’ has gone a step further and called for violence against trans women.
TRIGGER WARNING – Reported violence and threatening language to follow.
At a time when trans women are being murdered in America and across the globe, lesbian porn star Lily Cade has said some appalling things that only serve to make matters far worse.
Writing in a blog post, she said “If you left it up to me, I’d execute every last one of them personally. Cancel the ever-living fuck out of this. Cancel this so hard that no man dare walk the path of the trans woman in public ever again! Enough is enough.”
She didn’t stop there, adding : “Lynch Kaitlyn! Lynch the ‘Sisters’ Wachowski! Lynch Laurel Hubbard! Lynch Fallon Fox! Trans women are evil pedophiles who have twisted the minds of your people so badly with annoying, ugly, stupid language, that your children are mutilating their bodies to please them.”
In a final vile transphobic diatribe, Cade said: “Trans women are men. A lifetime commitment to pharmaceuticals and plastic surgery does nothing to change the sex of an animal, it just makes money for big pharma at the expense of, quite literally, your children’s mental and physical integrity.”
Cade’s rants only go to highlight the invalidity of the BBC’s article and prove exactly what we all knew; that it was blatant transphobia dressed up as some sort of ‘study’ that clearly bears no merit in the slightest. For all their liberal, inclusive values, it is a stain on the BBC’s record that they would not only publish it but then stand by it in the face of justified outrage.
It’s just all so shameful. This is EXACTLY the sort of language that results from rhetoric spouted by the like of the LGB Alliance. Violent language begets violent actions and the sooner this culture war is over, the better.
