A clear statement that everyone is welcome: London borough unveils Trans Pride crossing

Yes, Camden! 

 

The newly-installed road crossing, in the colors of the Trans Flag, was unveiled on the corner of Tavistock Place and Marchmont Street and is designed “to make a clear statement that everyone is welcome in Camden”.

Danny Beales, cabinet member for Investing in Communities, Culture and an Inclusive Economy, said it was “an honour” to be involved in making the crossing happen.

The crossing has been proudly installed just by Gays the Word, the oldest LGBT+ bookshop in the UK and a touchstone for the broader LGBT community , founded in 1979. The shop was featured in the award-winning 2014 movie Pride.
