Since leaving One Direction, Harry Styles has gone from strength to strength, showing his prowess in acting, songwriting and performing, all the while supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Now he has won a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Song last night in London. The award was for Adore You, the second single from his Grammy-nominated and UK double platinum-selling album Fine Line. Written with Amy Allen, Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon, the track peaked at no 7 and spent a total of 40 weeks in the official UK singles chart.
The win is a big ‘up yours’ to Oasis’s Liam Gallagher who said at the Ivors (which recognises songwriters) 8 years ago how wonderful the awards were “because clowns like One Direction aren’t invited”. Ooops!
