Elton John makes UK chart history with the help of Dua Lipa

King of the charts!

The music legend has just become the first artist in history to score a U.K. top 10 single in six different decades.

An incredible achievement by any standards, the fact that he’s an openly queer man is just an even greater win.

Cold Heart, with Dua Lipa and remixed by Pnau, is EJ’s 33rd top 10 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, and looks set to bag the top spot in the U.K. singles chart this afternoon (Friday 15) too.

Elton’s record breaking achievement nudges him just ahead of several other music legends – Elvis Presley, Cher, Cliff Richard, Michael Jackson and David Bowie – all of whom landed at least one top 10 single in five different decades.

“Cold Heart” is taken from Elton’s forthcoming collaborative studio album, The Lockdown Sessions, which drops October 22.

The new 16-track album will feature further collaborations with huge artists such as Years & Years and Lil Nas X, along with showcasing up-and-coming talent such as Rina Sawayama, Jimmie Allen and SG Lewis.
