Miley Cyrus has signed a new mega-deal with NBCUniversal and her first big show is a Pride gay-stravaganza called Stand By You… and it’s out on June 24!
Filmed at the Ryman Auditorium in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, the hour-long special will feature host of special guests including Orville Peck, Mickey Guyton, Little Big Town, Brothers Osbourne, and Maren Morris.
T.J Osborne of Brothers Osbourne came out only in Feb this year becoming the first major label signed country artist to do so with huge support from his band mate and brother John Thomas, as well as many of the admittedly rather straight country music community.
Miley’s clearly not pissing about when it comes to the content of her big gay spesh either, with multiple costume changes and performances of her own new versions of Cher’s Believe, effing Dancing Queen and a whole god-dayam Madonna medley featuring Like A Prayer and Express Yourself (faints)!
Celebrating the new deal with some corp-speak, Susan Rovner, Chairman of Entertainment Content at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming had this to say: ‘Miley is the true definition of a multi-hyphenate superstar and her Pride special, Stand By You for Peacock is the perfect way to kick off this incredible partnership’
