Victoria Scone, who made history as the first cis woman drag queen to appear in the WHOLE franchise, may already have to leave due to an injury sustained during a lip sync.
After narrowly winning a Ru-Peter Badge (the British prize for a win as the BBC can’t dish out sponsored gifts or cash) in episode 1, Victoria Scone might have to now pull out of the whole series after a bold knee drop during her lip sync for the win (yes it was that tight) resulted in her hurting herself.
Victoria was at a disadvantage all of episode 2, having to sit down for the dance challenge, (making do with something of a hand jive) and wear TRAINERS on the runway. We were definitely getting Eureka vibes when she was called in front of the judges at the end of the show and we were left with a cliff hanger as to whether she could stay or leave the competition in order to have her knee fixed. Eureka had to leave season 9 due to injury and then returned for season 10.
It’s no secret that they are pumping out seasons of Drag Race like it’s going out of fash and RuPaul wants to get in and get out as fast as possible for a speedy turnaround. Unfortunately for Victoria, that’s given her no time to recover as the competition trundles on around her. Let’s hope this is just a blip or else we’ll have to wait for season 4 to see what that Scone’s REALLY made of.
