Here for this and then some!

We fu*king LOVE Janelle Monae! We also really loved Knives Out, the 2019 Oscar nominated whodunnit that became a global box office hit, grossing over $300 million worldwide.

So we’re delighted to see JM sign-up for the sequel, which will see detective Benoit Blanc (played Daniel Craig) investigate a new mystery.

Rian Johnson will return to direct, write and produce the follow-up, with filming due begin this June in Greece.

The original movie had a stupidly impressive cast, featuring the likes of Ana de Armas, Chris Evans and Jamie Lee Curtis. It’s not yet known if any of those will reprise their role but the names who have been announced for round 2 of the franchise are already giving us major giddies.

Kathryn Hahn, Fight Club’s Edward Norton and Marvel star Dave Bautista are all confirmed, with more to come, so we get the impression it’s going to be equally as awesome as its predecessor.

Filming hasn’t even started yet so obv no release date but we know that it’ll debut on Netflix, who bought the rights for a reported jaw-dropping $400m. Which means a third instalment is already greenlit as part of that deal.

VERY happy about this. If you haven’t seen the first movie yet, first of all you should. Secondly, here’s the trailer:
