Last night the Golden Globes 2021 were held semi-virtually with comedy presenting duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler once again compering the show albeit, from opposite sides of the USA.

It was your usual back slapping with nominees appearing via video-link/Zoom/Snapchat/FaceTime which sounds boring if it’s just your mates place but we love dissecting what the star’s lounges look like.

The best moment for us was getting an actual window in the home life of Jodie Foster who was genuinely shocked when she won for The Mauritanian (trailer below). Jodie Foster’s sexuality was a closely guarded (open) secret for many years so it was a joy to see her sat in her pyjamas with with her wife Alexandra Hedison (and their dog).

Fey and Poehler anchored the whole evening which had its fair share of technical glitches (am I muted?). Their opening monologue echoed criticisms around the world of Jame Corden’s nominated ‘gay face’ performance with Fey jesting “The Queen’s Gambit is whatever James Corden was up to in The Prom, I guess.” Amen Tina.
