It’s a good weekend to be a drag queen Down Under. Not only was it full blown Sydney Mardi Gras, one of he biggest gay pride parades in the world, but also we got our first look at the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.
Rita Ora, Troy Sivan and Christian Wilkins took to the stage at the Sydney Cricket Ground as the parade itself had to be moved due to coronavirus restrictions. They marched around the pitches with a real crowd in the bleachers giving us international viewers a joyous sense or normality.
There were drag queens aplenty as well strutting their stuff just in time for the reveal of the contestants in the debut series or RuPaul’s Drag Race down Under. The show is currently filming in New Zealand and will be out on World Of Wonder Plus later in the year.
