Despite only having two albums as a five-piece and then one more as a four-piece, the Spice Girls were a phenomenon all over the world.
They have always been allies and they are now celebrating a whopping 25 years since they bounced into our lives with Wannabe back in 1996. All five of them got back together for a stadium tour back in 2008 but since then they’ve only performed once more in their original line-up and that was at the 2012 Olympics.
That could be about to change however as the band’s erstwhile spokeswoman Mel B dropped a big ol’ hint saying ‘We WILL be back and that’s my ‘scary’ promise!’ Whether that means as a five-some, or back to the Emma, Mel C, Mel B and Geri formation as they were in their hugely successful tour in 2018 is anyone’s guess.
What we do know however is that the Girls have released an off-cut from the first album as a B-side to the re-release of Wannabe. Entitled Feed Your Love, it’s a sexy slow jam that was deemed too mature for release at the time. The fact it’s been kept under wraps until now is super exciting and we have to say we LOVE it! Will there be new music to flesh out that somewhat meagre back cat? We can only hope.
