Schitt’s Creek was a lockdown saviour for many of us, falling in love with the show just as it was coming to an end. By the time it was getting accolades by the bucket load, it was already over.
While there was talk of possibly carrying it on, creator Dan Levy soon put an end to that rumour but in a new interview, he seems keen to do a movie… but all in good time. Talking to Town and Country, Dan said:
‘We had such a great time making the show and I think if the idea is right, I would love to explore what a movie could look like. But, I don’t have that idea yet. I’m still searching for it. So, my fingers are crossed, but I also think you need to give people a little time to miss you. So, I’m taking some time and we’ll see what happens in the next couple of years, but my fingers are tightly crossed.’
Like with everything, we’d rather wait for something to be good rather than rushed out as it would put a dampener on the whole series if it was rubbish. In the mean time we’d suggest going back to the beginning and falling love with it all over again.
