We were getting serious Faye Dunaway ‘no wire hangers’ vibes from RuPaul in last night’s episode of Drag Race UK. After a somewhat shaky episode for returning queen Joe Black , she cheekily admitted that part of her outfit was from high street retailer H&M. Big mistake. Huge.

Joe Black had only just returned to the competition after her shock elimination in episode 1 so fans were looking forward to her proving herself with some of the killer drag she’s know for. Instead, Mama Ru launched into a killer rant culminating in her screeching ‘We’re looking for Great Britain’s next superstar, don’t waste my time’, finishing off with a knockout blow, ‘I don’t want to see any fucking H&M!’

This proved to be the death knell for Joe Black and she was unceremoniously booted off after a lacklustre lip-sync against fan favourite Tia Kofi. We’re not seeing a RuPaul X H&M collab any time soon.

The UK’s premier Drag Race podcast United Queendom has recapped this very episode in its own inimitable tongue-in-cheek style and it’s out now.
