Good news and bad news for fans of the Ryan Murphy created Pose. The brand new season 3 will drop in May but unfortunately it will be the last.

Pose is set in New York City in the early 80s with this final season beginning in 1984. The first two series were praised for the inclusivity of the casting with trans people of colour filled the cast as well as the creative team.

As you can imagine with the period it’s set in, the show is filled with glamour as well as a soundtrack that’s second to none. Detailing the world of drag balls that inspired artists from Madonna to RuPaul (who was there at the time incidentally), Billy Porter leads an incredibly strong, emotive and Emmy Award winning cast that we will miss crying and laughing along with.

The third (albeit slightly shortened) series debuts on FX in the US on May 2nd.
