British actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge has cemented her status as a Hollywood player bagging the plum role of lead female opposite Harrison Ford in the new Indiana Jones.

The creator and star of the seminal Fleabag has gone form strength to strength since the world became aware of the genius that is PWB. From creating and writing th incredible Killing Eve, to co-writing the new Bond and (surely the cherry on the swishy cake) guest presenting Saturday Night Live, she has taken the globe by storm with her unapologetic uber-talent.

Her stratospheric rise to such an international stage is now complete as she has been cast as the leading lady in the new Indiana Jones movie which is due to hit theatres in 2022.

The much delayed film has hit more than a few roadblocks on its way to production but fans of the series can rest assured that the latest chapter in the long running saga is at last on its way in clearly good hands with this latest casting.

What part PWB will be playing remains a mystery but we’ll be watching with great interest as she follows in the footsteps of Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen as the woman in charge of a box office behemoth as only Phoebs knows how.
