The happy couple, who have been together for two years, shared the news.
It’s already been a great week for LGBT+ celeb engagement announcements! First off, Harold & Kumar star Kal Penn revealed that he and his partner of 11-years, Josh, are tying the knot. Now Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer have done the same.
“We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it,” Stewart revealed to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show . “I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
Stewart was appearing on the show to promote her latest film, Spencer, in which she plays Princess Diana, but it’s not the first time she’s spoken to the host about marriage.
Back in 2019, just three months into their relationship, she revealed: “I want to be, like, sort of somewhat reasonable about it, but I think good things happen fast”.
“I can’t say right now because she will find out”, she continued. “I have a couple plans that are just the coolest things to do. I’m really impulsive. I don’t know when it’s going to be.”
We LOVE TO SEE IT! Congrats to the pair!
Meanwhile, last week Stewart delivered a masterclass in shutting down homophobic naysayers when she was asked about negative responses to LGBTQ+ representation in film, specifically about the recent controversy surrounding Superman being bisexual and the new queer-inclusive Eternals movie.
“If you’re happier & more comfortable looking in the rear-view mirror, that is where we’ll leave you”, she said rather perfectly.
