Jamie Lee – the Hollywood icon who appeared in Halloween, Freaky Friday and Knives Out – made the announcement, with her daughter’s permission, in a new cover interview with AARP The Magazine.

 

Ruby, a 25-year-old computer gaming editor, is planning to get married to her fiancée next year and Curtis has revealed that she herself will officiate the ceremony.

 

Curtis, who also celebrates an incredible 22 years sobriety, shared her thoughts on fixed gender as an ‘old idea’, adding that it’s more of a ‘constant metamorphosis.’ 

 

Posting the cover to Instagram Curtis said: “Happy that I’m sober and clear. Happy that my family is safe and flourishing”, and in the interview that she and her husband Christopher Guest “have watched in wonder and pride as our son became our daughter Ruby”.

 

The couple also also have a 34-year-old daughter, Annie, who is a dance instructor

Curtis will appear in Halloween Kills, scheduled for release in October this year in the US and in the UK.
