The Queen’s husband of 73 years, Prince Philip has died today at the age 99.

His health had been deteriorating for many months with a lengthy stay at hospital recently during a time of great turmoil within the Royal Family.

The more we learn about him, it’s clear he had done a lot that we didn’t know about unless perhaps you’d watched The Crown.

From conservation to serving in the Second World War, no matter your opinion of him or the Royal Family, he’d done one hell of a lot more than the rest of us.

The British Parliament has been recalled and political parties will now suspend election campaigning until after the funeral at least.

It’s a huge deal for the UK and due to the pandemic, the funeral will certainly be more are more muted affair than is traditional.

RIP Prince Philip
