Today Hillary Clinton proved once again what and ally she is by expressing her disgust at a new law that enables healthcare professionals to refuse treatment on the basis of a religious or a moral conscience objection. 

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson signed into law the bill that effectively makes it ok to turn away LGBTQ patients and others who require ‘non emergency’ treatments. So this could be birth control, hormone treatment for trans people or even grief counselling for a same-sex couple.

Clinton said of the law ‘LGBTQ rights are human rights, and no one should have to face discrimination when seeking health care. What’s next? A “moral objection” to treating people of a different race, religion, or political party?’
