School is back in session at Las Encincas and you don’t have long to wait.
If absurdly attractive actors, mystery, bitchiness, catty behaviour, a decent amount of LGBT+ sex and multiple queer narratives is your kind of thing and you haven’t seen Netflix’s Elite… fix that immediately.
Set in private secondary school Las Encinas, “Élite” follows an ensemble cast of students who constantly find themselves involved with various murder and police investigations. When they’re not running into trouble with the law, the mixed group of working class and wealthy teenagers navigate intense relationship dramas and the heavy workload of their demanding institution.
The global hit show returns to Netflix for its fifth season, dropping all eight episodes on Friday 8 April.
Season 5 of “Élite” will follow the students as they deal with the fallout from the Season 4 finale, which saw Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau) murder a man named Armando (Andrés Velencoso) and go on the run after his friends help cover it up.
Although Elite’s Season 4 said goodbye(ish) to Miguel Bernardeau (Guzman) and Aron Piper (Ander), regular cast members Itzan Escamilla, Omar Ayuso, Claudia Salas, Georgina Amorós, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Manu Ríos, Pol Granch and Diego Martín will all return for the fifth instalment, accompanied by newcomers Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia and Adam Nourou.
