Drag Race UK’s Bimini Bon Boulash talks drag, being non-binary, and music in new radio show special

Set all the reminders on your phone, Bimini is hitting the radio airwaves.

Okay we’re already living for this. UK drag icon and all-round legend Bimini Bon Boulash will be the next queer icon to reveal and talk through their Pride Playlist on Virgin Radio Pride this coming Monday.

The star – who shot to fame, winning the hearts of viewers, on the second season of Drag Race UK – will play songs that have been influential in their queer experience, whilst talking through their journey including the very emotional and poignant chat they had with Ginny Lemon about identifying as non-binary.

Sources say that the playlist is set to feature the likes of Donna Summer, Eartha Kitt, David Bowie and YUNGBLUD.

Meanwhile Bimini released their debut single ‘God Save This Queen’ earlier this month (video below).

Virgin Radio PRIDE launched this month with a host of queer music specials already aired and available to listen again to, including Lord Michael Cashman’s Pride Playlist, Skin from Skunk Anansie’s Comfortable in Her Own Skin, and a weekly Friday night slot called Dragged Out for the Weekend hosted by Tia Kofe.

Tia is on Virgin Radio Pride every Friday at 7pm (UK time)

Lots of ways listen on Monday at 7pm (UK time), the simplest from anywhere in the world is probably just to say ‘Alexa, play Virgin Radio Pride’ into your device!
