The problem with social media is that there is always the possibly of it coming back to haunt you. Posts taken out of context or beliefs you expressed in the past that you now disagree with are there for all to see.

Things can be bad…and then there’s Chrissy Teigen. After taking a month off, she’s back with a heartfelt apology after a raft of apologies she’d already delivered for some truly heinous trolling – the most high profile being sending Courtney Stodden DMs telling her to kill herself.

At the end of the post she says: ‘I won’t ask for your forgiveness, only your patience and tolerance. I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self improvement and change’.

It’s a lesson in damage control and while we are not advocates of cancel culture, Teigen’s previous behaviour has been particularly nasty so we’d be surprised if she will ever regain her previous popularity.
