One thing Americans have always done better than the rest of the world is voting celebrities into political positions of power. In a land where star power represents political collateral, the bigger the star can lead to the biggest returns at the polls.

One of the first of course was Ronald Reagan who hit the top prize as president, a role also filled by a lying narcissistic criminal who we won’t name here.  There has also been Arnold Schwarzenegger as Governor of California, a position a certain Caitlyn Jenner has now set her sights on.

Announcing this week, the former Olympian and reality star will run as a Republican in the sunshine State which in itself is somewhat strange considering their current anti-trans stance all over the United States. Perhaps she could be a voice of reason in sea of bigotry, only time will tell.
