It seems that Ellen Degeneres hasn’t been able to turnaround the allegations of bullying and a toxic work environment on her self-titled talk show, deciding to call it a day after the 19th season next year. 

Ellen told her staff on May 11 and spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about it this week saying: ‘When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged – and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore.’

The show has been a huge success with over 3000 episodes but had been haemorrhaging viewers since rumours were abound about her behaviour on and off screen as well as that of her staff. Ellen even addressed the problems, taking some responsibility but it seems the damage was done.

Ellen will sit down and chat to none other than Oprah Winfrey on the Ellen show tomorrow so at least she won’t have to answer any difficult questions.
